ALYSSA SPOONER, UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCHER, DEPT. OF BIOLOGY

My name is Alyssa and I am a sophomore at WashU. I plan on majoring in both Neuroscience and Literature. I am fascinated by the brain's function and how research can lead us to uncover more information about different neurological conditions. In the lab, I work with my mentor, aiming to learn as much as possible from this opportunity. In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, traveling, running, and going to the beach. I am thrilled to be part of the Hengen Lab and am excited to start my research journey at WashU.
