SAM FUNDERBURK, GRADUATE STUDENT, NEUROSCIENCE PROGRAM
Budding neuroscientist by day, amateur powerlifter by night.
I am interested in reward choice. How do networks in the brain integrate across all of the various internal states and drives of an organism to settle on the one, most pressing need at any given moment? More specifically, what breaks these circuits to produce pathological, addictive behavioral patterns?
In my spare time, I pick up heavy things and put them down. Repeatedly.
My two interests are not related.
