SOPHIE ANDERSON, UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCHER, DEPT. OF BIOLOGY
My name is Sophie Anderson and I am a sophomore majoring in Biology on the Neuroscience track and English Literature. In the lab, I work on labelling training data from videos of either a healthy wild type mouse, or a mouse with neurodegenerative pathology, tracking the location of the mouse and its behavior. These annotations are used to evaluate whether neurodegeneration impacts the mouse's ability to interact with the environment and perform complex behavior.
Outside of the lab, I am on the Executive Council of Kappa Delta and I play the violin in the WashU Symphony.
