JAMES, MCGREGOR, POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER

I'm a postdoc in the Hengen lab. I study how emergent properties of neural dynamics differ between healthy brains and brains impacted by neurodegenerative disease, and the role that sleep plays in shaping these neural dynamics. I completed my PhD in Neuroscience at Emory University in Dr. Sam Sober's lab, where I studied how cortical-basal ganglia circuits process sensory information to guide vocal learning in adult songbirds.

In my free time, I like to play jazz music and basketball.
